I had a delightful stay at Melrose House. The breakfast was exceptional, featuring a full English breakfast, and the room was charming and well-equipped. The owner, Frances, offered wonderful tips for navigating London, making our exploration effortless.

The room had a lacking sense of personal touch, resembling more of a mini hotel than a charming B&B. Access to the backyard room involves navigating through a narrow, convoluted pathway, and daily room cleaning fell short, with limited attention to cleanliness—dust and uncleaned carpets stood out. Breakfast times were poorly communicated, leading to frustrating waits, and the dining area felt more like a cafeteria, lacking any decorum or atmosphere.

The only downside was the distance from the main attractions, which required a bit of planning. Worth it for a quiet retreat!

The bed in our triple room was extremely comfortable! ! The bathroom was spacious, clean, and equipped with excellent water pressure. The property's garden view made for a lovely, relaxing atmosphere, offering a breath of fresh air during our stay.
